A Field-Ready True GMT Built for Real Terrain

The Outpost GMT was shaped by the landscapes we know best — the Appalachian Trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the rugged climbs of the Black Mountains in Western North Carolina. These are the ridgelines and switchbacks where we spend our weekends, and where our watches earn their keep. The Outpost GMT carries that same spirit: a tool built to handle changing weather, tight ridgelines, and long routes that cross state lines and time zones.
This is a limited edition of 100 pieces.

A Dial That Reveals the Mountains

In daylight, the Outpost GMT features a clean white dial with high-contrast black indices and hands for instant legibility. Look closer and you’ll notice a subtle texture running across the surface. When darkness falls — or when charged under UV — the full-lume BGW9 dial ignites, and that texture resolves into the silhouette of a mountain range hidden within the dial. It’s our first fully luminous dial and the first to incorporate a nighttime-only mountain reveal. The color-matched shaft of the GMT hand helps create the effect of a floating GMT arrow riding above the terrain.

Powered by the Miyota 9075 True GMT

At the heart of the Outpost GMT is the Miyota 9075 GMT movement with an independently jumping local hour hand — the preferred configuration for travel. Set home time once, then jump the local hour hand forward or back as needed while the GMT hand stays anchored.

Supporting the Trails That Inspire Us

Last year, Hurricane Helene closed large sections of the trails throughout the mountains in our own backyard. Thanks to the work of volunteers across the region — including the North Carolina High Peaks Trail Association, the nonprofit that maintains more than 60 miles of trails in the Black Mountains and serves as the Friends group of Mount Mitchell State Park — the vast majority of those routes have now reopened.

To help support that ongoing stewardship, a portion of Outpost GMT proceeds will be donated to the North Carolina High Peaks Trail Association to assist with year-round trail maintenance and preservation of the Black Mountains.
